Easter Cup PDF Print E-mail

The Easter Cup traces its roots back to the first ever university baseball competition - The Drunken Cup. Founded by Southampton University several years back, the Drunken Cup (so named because the trophy is rather wonky and looks like it was made by a ... well you know) was the first event to feature teams from several universites compeating for the same prize.

Since then however it has evolved into what promisses to be on of the most exciting and unique baseball tournaments played by anyone in the UK. The idea is to take the top four university sides in the country and pit them against four invitational teams from across Britain. The aim of this is to achieve greater integration of university baseball into the wider British baseball community and to demonstrate the high standard to which student ball is played at.

2010 will be the inagural year for the Easter Cup in this format.
